Preserving excellent work on templates

For quite a long time there was a beautiful phpMyFAQ installation on http://www.heilmile.de/faq. This work is now gone since the author has switched the whole site.

Anyway, this is just an example for a problem I never really realised until now: Isn’t there any chance to recycle templates?

Face it: Most people would not want to see their design modifications to spread without special reasons. Design sometimes requires to be unique.

In any case, when a site is shut down or the theme is freshed up, there should be a way to give the things which aren’t needed anymore to someone who could use them.

This is my wish to all readers: If you have any themes, design ideas left, publish them. Put them under a fair license (creativecommons.org will offer you some) and announce them on this devblog (mail me!) or at the phpMyFAQ forum.

In the near future, the phpMyFAQ might include different designs from the beginning and will give the user a choice at the moment of installation. I would be excited to see some submissions from you in there.
