phpMyFAQ FAQ updated
Saturday, January 5th, 2008Today I switched our own FAQ from phpMyFAQ 1.6.11 to the upcoming 2.0.5 release. It worked like a charm and I also used the new 2.5 layout.

Friday, January 4th, 2008Today we updated our blog software to WordPress 2.3.2 and we switched the main phpmyfaq.de website to the new 2.5 layout.
phpmyfaq.de updates
Friday, December 28th, 2007I’ll start to update some parts of the phpmyfaq.de website the next weeks. I’ll change the CSS to the new phpMyFAQ 2.5 layout created by Charles A. Landemaine and I’ll move the phpBB2 to phpBB3. Our own FAQ, currently based on phpMyFAQ 1.6 will be updated to 2.0 as well.

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007Well, things slowed down the last months with phpMyFAQ and I’ll try to push it more after the holidays. I’ll try to release a 2.0.5 release this year but I cannot guarantee that I’ll have enough time the next 2 weeks. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2008. International PHP Conference 2007
Saturday, November 3rd, 2007Tomorrow I’ll travel to Frankfurt-Mörfelden for visiting the International PHP Conference 2007. I’ll do a talk about Microsoft Office automatisation with PHP. We implemented something similiar at a big costumer at work. See you there!

Friday, October 12th, 2007Today I’ll leave San Francisco because the Zend Conference ended yesterday. I’ll drive down to San Diego on the Highway Nr. 1. That’s me at Alcatraz:

The Rock
Thursday, October 11th, 2007Today, Ilia, Sebastian and myself visited Alcatraz, also called The Rock. It was really amazing and we had quite good weather. I took over 100 pictures of the island, the skyline of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge (again). I’ll post some pictures as soon as possible.
Zend Conference and the Bridge in the fog
Tuesday, October 9th, 2007Yesterday the Zend Conference started with the tutorial day. I visited one tutorial for some hours and talked with many people of the PHP community. In the evening, Marcus, Derick, Sebastian, Ilia and myself drove to the Vista Point to take some pictures of the Golden Gate bridge again. The bridge was partly in fog and I could take some awesome pictures of it. I’ll post one the next days. Today I’ll do my talk about IBM DB2 and PHP 5.2.

Arrival in San Francisco
Saturday, October 6th, 2007This morning I left Munich and flew with a terrible stopover in London Heathrow to San Francisco. At the International San Francisco Airport I saw one of the brand new Airbus A380 planes. I was sitting in a Boeing 747-400 but it looked really smaller than the A380. It’s also really hard to enter the United States. They took two fingerprints and a picture of me – I felt like a criminal. The weather is quite good but it’s quite cold.
