phpMyFAQ 2.6.8 Released!

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

The phpMyFAQ Team is pleased to announce phpMyFAQ 2.6.8, the “Laurent Fignon” release. We dropped the Oracle database support and added a new TinyMCE plugin for adding internal links by a suggest search. We also added a basic HTML5 powered administration backend and improved the setup and update functionality. The bundled TCPDF library was updated to version 5.6.000, the bundled TinyMCE editor component to version 3.3.8 and the bundled phpseclib to version 0.2.1. We also updated the Russian and the Portuguese translation. We fixed a XML rendering issue and many minor bugs.

Status update for phpMyFAQ 2.6.8, 2.7.0-alpha and 3.0.0-dev

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

This week we branched the new 2.7 branch from the current stable 2.6 branch. 2.7.0 will be the next major version of phpMyFAQ with a focus on a brand new user interface and some social improvements like better Facebook and Twitter integration. We changed the minimal PHP version for phpMyFAQ 2.7 to PHP 5.2.3. The current master branch was re-versioned to 3.0.0-dev and will need PHP 5.3, but it will take more than a year before you can see something here.
